Hi Darren, Do think you can re-kindle your form as it has dropped after winning the Open? Also have you still got the drive, passion, drive and will to win on the pro tour as winning a Major must take alot out of you. Just a left field question as we all know your a great player but i guess you need to be 100% committed on the pro tour with so many great players. Cheers Ash
Hi Ashley, I definitely think I can re-kindle the form as I feel I am hitting the ball right now just as good as I have ever done. However, winning the Open Championship was the peak of my career and has raised my expectations of myself to a much higher level. I have probably put too much pressure on myself thinking a can re-kindle that form every single week, which as a golfer, you know is not possible. I am 100% committed to winning more tournaments and competing at the highest level. All the best, Darren.
No questions Darren - pleased to see you have found happiness again and the beach wedding looked so romantic. My very best wishes to you both. Robyn
Darren I saw a special on Arnold Palmer a few years ago and it reported that over his playing career he used over 20000 clubs and that they are all on display at the Arnold Palmer Museum. I have no where near that number but in the short time that I have seriously been playing this game I have collected enough to make up probably 5 sets. My question is. How do you know when to discard one club to take up a new one. I recently purchased a putter and used it once and putted really well with it. However I have always putted extremely well with the one I have had for last 4 years. Should I change or keep with the trusted one.
Hi David, simple - keep both the old one and the new one! Some times you just get a 'feeling' on picking up a new club which makes you use it and use it well. Of course these 'feelings' can change so it's always good to have a back up that you're happy with as well. Hope they keep going in for you! Cheers, Darren.
