I’ve always had a few problems at The Belfry and things did not change at the Quinn Insurance British Masters. The highlight of my visit was actually judging the best dressed competition when breast cancer research and charities were the beneficiaries of Pink Friday.

An eventful final day at the Quinn Insurance British Masters saw Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño defeat defending champion Lee Westwood after a thrilling play-off at The Belfry. The Spaniard started the final round three shots behind Westwood but a brilliant final round 67, which did not contain a single bogey, took him level with the Worksop player on a 12 under par total of 276.
