Well, the big news right now is that the R&A have invited Royal Portrush to stage the Open Championship! What a massive honour for my home club and home town, it doesn't get any better!
Loads of work has been going on behind the scenes to make this happen and it's going to be a wonderful sporting event in one of the best locations in the world. It'll be a boost to the whole economy in the area and the general interest in Northern Ireland not only as a golfing destination but as a spectacular country which will now be up there on the world stage.
Obviously it's very special for me being a previous winner of the Claret Jug but extra... MORE »

Hi folks from a very wet and windy Portrush where it is currently lashing it down with rain and the trees are being blown horizontal. True Northern Irish winter weather!
It's great having a few weeks off at home - my last event was the Beko Classic in Turkey where I finished 5th and Alison and I enjoyed the fantastic hospitality of Mustafa. The Gloria resort is fantastic and a great golfing venue for those of you who like to travel a little further afield.
Since I've been home our two Irish Wolfhound puppies have been welcomed into the Clarke household. The boys have called them Cain and Thor, they are brothers who are full of fun and mischief and as yet... MORE »

Hi there from the USA where, as you will have probably all read by now, I have joined the PGA Tour for 2014 and I'm taking up the opportunity of my exemption from the Open Championship win. My first outing is this week at The McGladrey Classic at the gorgeous Sea Island Resort in Georgia. The tournament host is my good pal Davis Love III so it's great for me to begin my US campaign at his event and coming off some pretty good form in recent events. After that I'm off to Mexico to play in the OHL Classic at Mayakoba being played at El Camaleon.
I played well in the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship up in Scotland shooting... MORE »

Hi there everyone, and once again I know it's been a while but I've been working so hard on my golf that everything else has had to take a back seat.
I've been having a very frustrating period as my work on the range has been just spot on but I've not been able to get it out there on the golf course. But the swing is feeling in great shape and I'm looking forward to getting into the groove at Castle Stuart this week.
The course is in great shape and I only have happy memories from here as the last time I played this event I went on to claim my first major the following week.
Speaking of which, I've had... MORE »

You may have heard I've had to withdraw from the Masters Tournament this week and to say I'm bitterly disappointed is somewhat of an understatement.
We started our holiday a few weeks ago at Abaco in the Bahamas and myself and Alison had a week together before the family came out to join us. We were all having a great time, my boys, Alison's boys, Davy and Andrea's boys larking about in true holiday fashion.
I was doing plenty of practising in readiness for the Valero Texas Open, who had moved heaven and earth to get me an invite to come and play, which was great as it would have been brilliant preparation before Augusta.
Everything was going according to plan until 11 days... MORE »
