Hi there from the USA where, as you will have probably all read by now, I have joined the PGA Tour for 2014 and I'm taking up the opportunity of my exemption from the Open Championship win. My first outing is this week at The McGladrey Classic at the gorgeous Sea Island Resort in Georgia. The tournament host is my good pal Davis Love III so it's great for me to begin my US campaign at his event and coming off some pretty good form in recent events. After that I'm off to Mexico to play in the OHL Classic at Mayakoba being played at El Camaleon.
I played well in the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship up in Scotland shooting... MORE »

Hi there everyone, and once again I know it's been a while but I've been working so hard on my golf that everything else has had to take a back seat.
I've been having a very frustrating period as my work on the range has been just spot on but I've not been able to get it out there on the golf course. But the swing is feeling in great shape and I'm looking forward to getting into the groove at Castle Stuart this week.
The course is in great shape and I only have happy memories from here as the last time I played this event I went on to claim my first major the following week.
Speaking of which, I've had... MORE »

You may have heard I've had to withdraw from the Masters Tournament this week and to say I'm bitterly disappointed is somewhat of an understatement.
We started our holiday a few weeks ago at Abaco in the Bahamas and myself and Alison had a week together before the family came out to join us. We were all having a great time, my boys, Alison's boys, Davy and Andrea's boys larking about in true holiday fashion.
I was doing plenty of practising in readiness for the Valero Texas Open, who had moved heaven and earth to get me an invite to come and play, which was great as it would have been brilliant preparation before Augusta.
Everything was going according to plan until 11 days... MORE »

Hi there folks and happy 2013 to you all. I hope it's been a good start so far.
My year started down in South Africa for the Volvo Golf Champions at Durban Country club which was a great venue for the event where l played quite solidly after the holiday break. It was a great tournament put on by Volvo who put in such generous sponsorship on the European Tour.
The Ryder Cup captaincy was decided in Abu Dhabi and it was great to see Paul McGinley voted into office for Gleneagles. I think he'll be a fantastic captain, he loves the whole concept of the team thing and was a great captain in the Seve Trophy, has a lot of experience... MORE »

Hi there everyone - I thought it was about time to post a little pre-Christmas blog and let you all know what I've been up to!
October saw the launch of my autobiography, An Open Book, and I have to say I was pretty apprehensive when I embarked upon the first book signing session in London - was anyone going to turn up? Well, yes they most certainly did and I couldn't believe the amount of people that came along so my fears were put to one side and I really enjoyed meeting everyone that came along. The signing sessions in Belfast and Coleraine this week were packed out and thanks for coming along - was great to meet you all.
