On The Open Road

Darren finished 2nd in the Barclays Scottish Open on nine under par and booked the final available spot for the 139th Open Championship at St Andrews.

He went into the final round at Loch Lomond just one shot adrift of overnight leader Edoardo Molinari but a final round of 76 containing only one birdie wasn't good enough to capture the title that went to Molinari who finished on twelve under par.

Happy to be going to St Andrews Darren said, "Obviously I'm disappointed to have come second but it's a great consolation to be going to St Andrews".

Darren has now moved to s 17th in the European Tour Race to Dubai.
