
Darren played in the Alfred Dunill Links Championship in Scotland and finished in a tie for 7th place. He shot rounds of 68 at Carnouste, 68 at St Andrews and 67 at Kingsbarns. On the final day Darren had a 71 at St Andrews and he was fourteen under par for the four rounds.
He played with ISM Chairman Abdullah Al Naboodah in the Pro-am section on the first three days but their team score didn't make the cut which fell at twenty one under par.
The event as won by ISM stablemate and playing partner on the last day, Simon Dyson, who fired a final round 66 and finished on 20 under par to take his second title of 2009
Darren now travels to Spain to play in the Madrid Masters which begins on Thursday.
