138th Open Championship

Darren played in his 18th Open Championship this year over the Ailsa Course at Turnberry in Scotland.

Over the years Darren has enjoyed some great finishes in Open Championships - he was tied 2nd in 1997 at Troon behind Justin Leonard, tied 7th in 2000 at Royal Lytham and St Annes and tied 3rd in 2001 at St Andrews.

Darren shot rounds of 71, 71, 78 and 69 leaving him at nine over par and in a tie for 52nd. The Open Championship was won by Stewart Cink in a four hole play-off with Tom Watson - they both finished at two under par after four rounds of regulation play.
