Darren made his 12th appearance in the US Open Championship played at Bethpage State Park (Black Course) in Farmingdale, New York. Clarke first played this event in 1994 at Oakmont and his best finish to date is tied 10th in 1999 over one of his favourite courses, Pinehurst No 2.

Darren's first two rounds of 74 and 76 failed to make the halfway cut in the event which has been hampered by heavy rainfall resulting in the course being flooded on Thursday and play being suspended during the first round.

Darren's next tournament will be the Open de France ALSTOM beginning on 2nd July.
