Following his enforced lay-off due to injury Darren was back on the fairways this week

The Irish Open was played at Darren's home club at Royal Portrush over the Dunluce course and was amazing week of golf with a stellar field including Darren's major winning compatriorts, Graeme McDowell and Rory McIlroy.

The week started off in great fashion in the pre-tournament pro-am where Darren was joined by father Godfrey, eldest son Tyrone and Shane Filan from Westlife!

Darren shot rounds of 71, 69, 73 and 71 to finish on four under par and in a tie for 39th. Jamie Donaldson from Wales won the event on eighteen under par, his maiden European Tour victory.

Next on the schedule is the Alstom Open de France which begins on Thursday at Golf National on the outskirts of Paris.
