Darren played in the KLM Open at Hilversumsche Golf Club in the Netherlands where he finished in a tie for 17th.

Darren put together rounds of 68, 71, 67 and 68 to leave him on a four round total of 274, six under par. Germany's Ryder Cup team member Martin Kaymer won the event with a fourteen under par total.

Darren now takes a break before fulfilling his duties at Celtic Manor as a vice captain for Monty in the Ryder Cup. His next playing commitment is the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship which begins on 7th October.
