Thanks To One And All

It's the season of goodwill to all men... and I'd like to single out three for special mention whose support has been invaluable to me during 2008.
They don't often get a mention in this column, but I'm not sure what I would have done without John Newton, Philip Morbey and Andrew Chandler, commonly called Newt The Bewt, Wobbly and Chubby.
Newt has been my stretcher, physio, minder and numerous other things over quite a few years and he has kept me entertained all year long often when things have not been going as well as I wanted them to. He's kept me on the straight and narrow when it would have been so easy to go off in different directions.
As for Wobbly, well he hasn't become one of the world's best caddies because he isn't good at his job. He definitely is and I feel very fortunate to have had him on the bag. He's been a great addition to the team and I'm looking forward to more success with him in 2009.
As for Chubby, let's just say without his unyielding support, I wouldn't be where I am today and I'll always be grateful.
There are plenty of others whose help, guidance and friendship have been a boost to my game and spirits. They know who they are and I thank them all.
I'd also like to say a big thank you to all of you who have logged on to my website during 2008 and before and hope that you continue to do so in the future. Your messages and support mean a great deal.
I didn't quite finish 2008 as I would have wanted, but the world's top 50 is still an attainable objective before they close the gates to US Masters entry. You can be sure I will be trying my best to join the parade down Magnolia Lane
Once more, have a great New Year everybody and I look forward to sharing my roller coaster journey with you in 2009
